While making this project, you’ll build confidence and discover creative ways to use your serger, including: Belt Loop Folder with 3-Thread Coverstitch wide for Crisscross Pie Crust 3-Thread Narrow Seam (often called Narrow hem) edge with decorative thread Gathering with gathering foot and without (inside bonus video) Weaving technique to reduce bulk in seams Stitching around curve with ease Stop and start seams clean and professionally Designed using the BERNINA L890 but can be stitched on any machine as long as your serger has the listed stitches and presser feet. stitches 3-Thread Narrow Seam (also known as Narrow Hem) 3-Thread Coverstitch Wide 3-Thread Overlock Wide stitches Standard foot/Clear foot (Clear is helpful because it’s see-through, but it is not required) Gathering or Ruffling foot (See bonus video for alternative gathering methods) Curve foot (Curve Foot is helpful for stitching around the circle, but it is not required) Chain/Coverstitch foot or Clear Coverstitch foot Belt Loop Folder for coverstitch or combination sergers (sometimes called a Belt Loop Binder).

¿ (3) Standard Serger Threads i.e. Mettler Seracor
¿ (1) Untwisted textured serger thread i.e. Wonderfil SoftLoc or MaxiLock Stretch
¿ (1) 30 Wt. Cotton i.e. Sulky Cotton Blendables Thread Needles
¿ Needles: Check your user manual for the correct needle system (ELx705 or 130/705H). Use 80/12 for lighter stitching and 90/14 for thicker or bulky stitching.
