Each block and appliqué, birds, envelopes, hearts, and postage marks, captures the simple, powerful act of correspondence that kept hearts close despite the distance. Each block is inspired by stories in Mom and Dads' letters and is included on the pattern instructions. 10 month program. Skill builder--accurate 1/4" seams, QST, HST, flying geese, stitch and flip corners, raw edge fusible applique and foundation paper piecing. Packaged in 9 x 12 clear bag as a single pattern, Individual months packaged in air mail envelopes inside pattern to complete the mail call theme. Shop guide available from designer upon request. Size 84" x 84". Cover quilt made with designers' original fabric collection--Missing You by Island Batik with Lumin Fabrics.
