DESCRIPTION
Your love of your state can now shine through and live as a squishy pillow on your couch. Hello State Pillow patterns are here!!!! Choose your favorite. Choose your neighbor’s favorite. Celebrate the place you grew up, the place you love to vacation the most, where you went to summer camp as a kid: the list goes on and on. No better way to hone new skills of machine piecing and machine appliqué. Added bonus of sewing shapes that sometimes are irregular, depending on the states you choose.
Pattern Includes:
• Large pillow template in the shape of the state
• Appliqué design
• Instructions for assembly
Fabric Requirements:
Hello Rhode Island
2/3 yard (two cuts, 16""w x 24""h)
Aquidneck Island
1/4 yard (two cuts, 8""w x 8.5""h)
Block Island
1/8 yard (two cuts, 3""w x 4""h)
Finished Size: Rhode Island, approximately 14""w x 22""h
Finished Size: Aquidneck Island, approximately 5""w x 8""h
Finished Size: Block Island, approximately 3""w x 4""h
Supplies Needed:
• Fabric scissors + snips
• 20 oz. pillow stuffing
• Sewing machine
• Turning tool/chopstick
• Coordinating thread
• Iron
• Straight pins
• Hand-sewing needle
Optional Supplies for Applique
• 2-sided fusible web (Steam-a-Seam 2)
• Decorative/contrasting thread
• Variety of fabrics for appliqué
