DESCRIPTION
Assembling this easy whimsical sailboat quilt is as fun as a day at the seaside. Blocks and rows come together without the need to match any seams. Wave blocks are strip pieced for quick assembly. The sailboat blocks use stitch and flip techniques for the boat hull and for the half rectangle sail units.
Sail units are intentionally oversized then trimmed down to size for a perfect fit every time. A paper trimming template to pair with a standard quilting ruler is included. Quilt measures 50.5 in. x 67 in. Cover quilt is made with the Sail Away collection from Island Batik, shipping to store in Fall 2021. Cover photo by Jerry Khiev of Island Batik.
