DESCRIPTION
Hope does bloom in my heart every time I look at this soft and lovely quilt! Its 24 gently colored pencil tinted and hand embroidered blocks are all lovely roses! The pieced blocks are so easy to sew, and can be made gradually as your stitching progresses, or all at once so you’ll be ready for a finishing flourish when your bouquet of blocks is completed!
Block 1 is "Rose and Lavender Bouquet" and block 2 is "Butterfly".
The 51-1/2in square quilt's directions are in this pattern, along with general tinting and stitching directions for all the blocks to come.

1 ½ yds Stitchery background fabric (I used warm white muslin from Moda)
1 ½ yds Muslin for stitchery backing
1 yd large Rose print for all block centers
1 ¼ yds Pink dot for stitched block borders and block piecing
1 ¿ yds Light pink print for block piecing
¼ yd Each of seven light prints for piecing
1 ¼ yds Dark pink print for inner border and binding
4 ¿ yds Backing
1 ½ yds Batting
01 or 005 brown or light grey Pigma pen
Light box for tracing your embroidery patterns
Artist’s paper blending stumps
Emery board/nail file
Size 4 round watercolor brush
Jacquard Textile #100 Colorless Extender
Freezer paper
Embroidery hoop (I like a 5” thin-sided, spring tension hoop)
#7 Embroidery needle
#3 Milliner’s needle
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty (for removing most pencil tinting mistakes before fixative is added)
Note: Thread and pencil colors listed below are needed to make all blocks in the finished quilt. For making just this pattern’s blocks, only the colors in bold are required.
