DESCRIPTION
Don’t you need a pretty place to keep your winter embroidery scissors, pins, and projects organized? The perfect solution is this cheerful, little binder! Instructions for the binder cover, snowflake pincushion, needle case, fob, and two types of pocket pages will walk you through this fun and useful project. The designs are colored pencil tinted, and hand embroidered. It’s so nice to be able to just flip open the binder to lie flat… with everything you need easily at hand… then, just as easily, close it up to tuck away on a bookshelf!
Cover fits a Staples brand 1” mini 3 ring Better Binder (approximately 8” x 9” x 1 1/2” finished)
Snowy Wonderland Stitch Binder Supply List
1/2 yard stitchery background fabric
1/2 yard white muslin to back stitchery (If lining your cover because your fabric is thin or light, you’ll need 1/2 yard of 44" wide fabric)
1/8 yd green Woolfelt for needlebook pages
6" square fabric or white Woolfelt for pincushion back
Steam-A-Seam 2
1 non-metal zipper at least 12" long
1/4 yard vinyl
Fat 1/4 for 45" of binding (MUST be cut on the bias ) for pocket page
1/2 yd for front binder lining and back cover
Fat 1/4 for front cover edge strip and pocket on pocket page
Fat 1/4 for binder cover’s back lining and pocket page lining
Fat 1/4 for needlecase back and lining, and pocket page back
Fat 1/4 for vinyl pocket page backing and self binding
Fat 1/4 zipper trim for vinyl zipper page
Polyfil stuffing
Frixion pen
01 or 005 brown Pigma pen
Light box for tracing your embroidery patterns
Artist’s paper blending stumps
Emery board/nail file
Size 4 round watercolor brush
Jacquard Textile #100 Colorless Extender
Freezer paper
Embroidery hoop (I like a 5" thin-sided, spring tension hoop)
#7 or #8 embroidery needle
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty (for removing most pencil tinting mistakes before fixative is added)
